B.o.B. also addresses the tone of his upcoming album, "Underground Luxury."
B.o.B.'s upcoming album, Underground Luxury, hits stores December 17. In an interview on Vlad TV, B.o.B. spoke about the tone of the project.
"I consciously just wanted to be in the clubs more," said B.o.B. "Just being 24, I want to party, man. I just want to hear my music in the club. But at the same time, I still got that musician side of me where I want to pick up a guitar and turn some shit up. That's always going to be there, always. But, I think this album's just a different direction."
B.o.B. continued discussing the album. "It's a breath of fresh air for me," he said. "Not that an artists should ever filter themselves, but it's just really an unedited-type twist to it."
During the interview, B.o.B. was asked about a 2010 tweet from B. Rich, his manager, promising a collaboration with Drake. "I don't know, man. I never really was ever was working on a song with Drake," said Bobby Ray. "I don't know where that came from. Maybe he knew something I ain't know. You know how management is. I don't know."
B.o.B. addressed the possibility of doing a song with Drizzy. "If the right song... It's gotta be the right record," he said. "Something that shows... I'm an artist. I'm like him. He's really into his world, and I'm really into my world sonically, so it's gotta be the right fit."
B.o.B. also offered praise for Drake's latest project, Nothing Was The Same. "He's mastering his sound. I think that's the beauty of all artists in this point in their career, when you get into your second and third album, now it's like an effortless thing."
