August Alsina Has Eye Surgery To Save His Vision

R&B singer August Alsina says he has an eye disease and had to undergo surgery to save his sight. He said he’s blind in his left eye and is losing vision in the other.
The singer, who has collaborated with Chris Brown and Trey Songz as well as Nicki Minaj shared a photo from the doctor’s office as he was undergoing a “painful” eye surgery.

“This is beyond painful..” August Alsina wrote on Instagram.

“So I have this eye disease.. Blind in my left, and losing vision in my right. In order to prevent my eyesight from deteriorating I had to do this surgery. This is beyond painful & Life be throwin’ a n… curve balls but what I’ve gained from it all is priceless… A lot of things that are so natural to us in life (like waking up and being able to see) we can take it for granted. Thank God the OG for allowing me to see.. The good the bad the ugly, I’m just glad to see,” August said.
The “Kissing on my Tattoos” singer has had previous health issues.
August, who was named BET’s best new artiste of the year was in a coma for three days after fainting on stage in New York last year. He also suffered 10 seizures.
