WOAH… Johnny Depp Could Face Up To 10 Years In Prison For WHAT?!

 

From the looks of it, actor Johnny Depp can possibly be facing some time behind bars. The 51-year-old has been filming Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales in Australia and decided to take his dog pals with him. However, Depp did not declare his two Yorkshire Terriers, Boo and Pistol, and according to Australian quarantine laws that are apparently extremely strict– they do NOT play that! An Australian senate committee released a statement explaining that if the matter goes to court, Depp can face up to 10 years in prison or a maximum fine of $265,000 for not abiding by Australian law. After the Australian government found out about Depp’s doggie pals, Minister for Agriculture Barnaby Joyce told him the pups have to go and Johnny complied– sending them on the next plane to California.

“There is a process if you want to bring animals: you get the permits, they go into quarantine and then you can have them,” Joyce went on to explain in an interview with Australia’s ABC radio. “But if we start letting movie stars—even though they’ve been the Sexiest Man Alive twice—to come into our nation [and break the laws], then why don’t we just break the laws for everybody?”
