On Tuesday, Google launched the new version of Google Play music for the U.S desktop and will have the Android and iOS updates out soon. This new update allows users to stream music without having to pay. The only downside is that there will be ads that cannot be skipped, but if you are used to Spotify and Pandora this should be no issue.
Unfortunately, no one really pays for streaming music since most of its benefits can be obtained by the free service. This is why Google has resorted to offering this service, while only making users listen to non skip ads.
